Sony Ericsson LIVEVIEW

The Google Android operating system has been red hot ever since the launch of the Google Nexus One and now it seems that many gadget builders are turning to the open source OS to power their products.

Sony Ericsson is next up at bat and have prepared a product called LiveView which comes with a 1.3-inch display screen. In some ways this device encourages you to keep your Android phone in your pocket as you complete basic jobs like social networking.

This device comes with a small screen that will keep you in the loop when it comes to your Twitter feed and Facebook updates. Some are making the comparison between LiveView and another small gadget, namely the new iPod Nano in that both devices can be worn like a wrist watch.
LiveView is compatible with Android 2.x devices and will perform the duties of a desktop widget. What is ironic is that this SE product will not work with another SE brand product, the Xperia lineup as these still do not have Android 2.x. LiveView will go on sale later this year.
